Also, you could phone Hatchette and subscribe to the series if all else fails.
At least you would continue the Bismarck, only some issues behind where you would normally be.

don't tell me, your news agent is also a post office. something is wrong in a country where they close a post office in a village miles from nowhere and in the process force seniors to endure miles of bus travel to get to the next post office because it happens to be in a larger urban area with another one not 1/2 a mile away, go figure. mundane reason, perhaps they should teach courses in this at 1st year university level, could save the country millions in foresightedness to use a little common sense. well enough ranting. my suggestion is to subscribe

My local post office (which has been saved) is also a newsagent, a spar shop and a Texaco garage. In the UK a lot of garages are n ow also shops/newsagents, and I know that some carry part works. We are a village of some 180 dwellings, and the PO is only part time, about 12 hours per week, but enough to get my pension! I did subscribe to the Titanic, but got fed up waiting 4 weeks for my delivery, plus had hassle getting some missing issues from Hachette. Now I get my issues bang on time each week.

I used standard model plastic glue to attach the plastic parts to the wood, you could also try araldite. Also araldite works for the brass, I think.

Hi John,
For non-timber parts on timber, you actually have a couple more options.
One is to use epoxy glue (Araldite is one brand). I use two different kinds for larger parts: 5 minute and 30 minute, depending on the part. I buy the 5ml versions in order to use the glue before it starts to go off (my experience is 3-4 months after being opened). Larger quantity is of course cheaper, but not if you have to throw some of it out.
For small brass and resin/styrene parts I always use CA glue. If they go on timber, then I first put a droplet of CA on the timber to seal and penetrate the timber surface, wait for a couple of minutes for it to cure, and then fit the part with another droplet of CA.
Hope this is of help to you.

picked part 1 up from my local post office/newsagent last wednesday after work... I'm a part-time postman so you should've seen the looks on people's faces when a postman walked into the post office, bought a school diary ( school starts again on monday ) and some partwork, and left... priceless... I subscribed though, never had any trouble with deliveries for the titanic subscription, and I rarely have time to go to the newsagent... besides, our newsagent usually only orders the first three or four batches of a partwork, and then stops ordering them because only three people buy them...
