when cruising the internet, minding my own business, I stumbled upon the following site: arkmodel.com/b7535_e.htmthe brass looks very good but the only thing that I think looks bad are the decks... probably expensive as hell though... and they don't mention the prices on their site... here's a different model from that manufacturer, lots of detail! www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=714839Danny

Right holy thread revival batman lol. Ok I have really been set on the idea to get a 1/200 HMS Hood model as it would be fitting to have it at the same scale as the bissy. And wonder of wonders the 1/200 model from arkmodel.com is still available and I even got a reply to my email to them with prices, wooo. Ok I hope I am reading this right and i'd have to double check with them but the Boat Kit is $824 and the ARTR (almost ready to run) is $3,177 So guess which one I would go for!!! From their price list they sent me the Boat Kit doesn't come with the RC kit which is extra. I am going to double check that though. If you want a copy of the excel price list just message me and i'll email it to you, prehaps you can make more sense out of it than me!!

Right well it looks like you can still buy that Hood from that Chinese company but there have been a lot of bad reviews of them so I am really not happy buying from them. But on the DeAgostini forum there is a suggestions section and they have a Hood suggestion there and an admin posted that they are interested to know what scale people would want a Hood and from what time frame. I have given my opinion so if those of you who are also interested could sign onto the forum and give your opinion that would be great. Hopefully if they get a lot of interest they will do Hood. Heres the forum: forum.model-space.co.uk/default.aspx?g=posts&m=383#post383

Yes, I looked at that Hood model too, and was very tempted, but the detail is not upto Bissy standards and I picked up on the bad reviews about service as well.
I decided not to touch it with a ten foot battlelance!
I shall patiently wait for Hatchette or Deg (come on guys!!) to bring on out....in 1/200 scale, of course!

Well done Frogy! Went onto the website and they do seem to doing a HMS Hood but are asking for feedback on size and era of the model. Come on all you Bismarck modellers get onto there site and lets all send them replies and lets convince them it really will be worth thewre while to do it!!!!

I'd like to, but I don't have the money or space for it. Future builds have to be small.

Have to agree with Sky. I would love to build a 1/200 scale Hood, but got no space for it. Ive got a Trumpeter 1/350 scale Hood, but cant start that until Ive finished Bismarck and Flying Scotman. mike

There must be some shameless bribe you can use Chill, wives are past-masters at the bribe, or emotional blackmail, it would be great to use it on them for once.....give it a go!!
If that fails, they LOVE to see a grown man grovel........
Just registered with DeAgostini and posted, the more the merrier!

Their weaknesses are easy to exploit.
Handbags, shoes, chocolate, dinner....... and if that doesn't work, try a spa voucher !
