Can you give us a clue about what you like. Air Sea Land ? Military, civilian ? old or modern ? Plastic, wood, metal ? Working or static ?

If you want something unusual you could try looking at some of the Verlinden subs. They do some nice kits in resin & photo etched brass. They also do an aweful lot of other military stuff, but mainly land based. Not much inthe way of ships or planes.

I've got the TRUMPETER Hood kit in 1/350th scale, still boxed. Looks very nice, and I've bought some extra's for it, WEM photo etched set, brass gun barrels, more accurate turrets and pompoms.
Still waiting to start, hoping to do so in the summer.

If you could negotiate for a joint birthday & christmas pressie and are willing to spend.... alot, I can well recommend Trumpeters new 1/16 King Tiger II Henschel Turret. It is a full interior large tank with engine, turret ammo racks and ammo etc.
It is a limited edition with only 2500 made and such does command a premium price but with over 3000 parts it will take a long time to build... even the suspention works!
I managed to get 2 of these monsters and they are taking up all my working space at the moment. Trumpeter has announced that they will be producing a Porsche turret LE version later this year and hopefully a Jagtiger after that.
All these are going to be one production run order only limited editions. The Henschel turret kit includes clear hull and turret parts as an option choice.

I'd love a Panther Aus.G
That would be my choice of Panzer!
I haven't done either Airfix Hood or Scharnhorst 1/400 kits tigerace, weren't they the Heller kits originally?
