What sort of electronic speed controllers do I need for these motors.

Almost any marine speed controller will do. They only draw 10 amps stalled. If you get a controller that will handle 20 amps ( or 2 that will take 10A each) you'll be fine. The Graupner V15R Navy, same as the Bismarck as fine to drive both motors. Best to run them at 12V rather than 6v. Higher voltage, less current, less losses, better battery life, less heat inside the hull.

Bought motor coolers and esc's for the motors. The esc's are Graupner V15R, 6 - 12 volts / 15 amps.

I've been wondering wether to get a V-mixer or not and also how to connect up the 2 esc's to a receiver, also what r/c system to get.

a mixer is essential if you want your model to be nimble...so i recommend using a v-mixer the wiring is the same as bissy`s 2-motor-setup: if you don`t want to buy a mixer, here`s 2 options: 1. just wire both controller inputs in parallel by using a y-cable. 2. use a single controller for both motors caution: the navy 15amps controller might be too weak for both motors, especially when using props with a bigger diameter than the motor itself... markus

Now to find the v mixer and y cables that will fit graupner esc's, oh and would I need to fit any sort of suppression to the motors. Then to find a, (hopefully) 3 or 4 channel 2.4 Ghz radio system. I want to have at least throttle, rudder and lights.

capacitors for interference suppression have to be fitted on each motor... just make sure they're AC ones as DC ones will blow up when going backwards... ;D ;D in case you cannot get hold of needed parts down under - just let me know and i'll see what i can do.... markus

Going to try and find some more of the parts I need for the r/c system next Thursday, (it's payday). If I can't get them I will have to order them from Markus.
