I too have had confirmation of Hood being cancelled by Deag. I am not aware of any advertising by either company which I find unusual, If you want to sell something let the public know a bout it.

The DA Hood was advertised in the Devon area on TV and the first issue was in most newsagents while the second issue has just started to appear. Is this just some sort of market test and is it all going to fade out? I have read all the terms and conditions and there is nothing that says they don't guarantee to deliver what is being shown as a complete model. I am puzzled about how this can be legal - if it is advertised with pictures of a complete model then surely that is what they should deliver?

Part 4 of the DA Hood is in the Plymouth shops and has a flyer inside offering parts 5 and 6 for the price of one plus pictures of the contents of these next issues. Does this mean that they have now decided to go ahead with the full series as I gathered those on subscription had only had parts 1-4 so far?

Just to add that the flyer I mentioned earlier gives the on-sale date for Issue 5 as 11th May and for issue 6 as 18th May. Has anyone who subscribed direct to DA and got up to Issue 4 now had any indication of issues 5 and 6 coming out?

I received issue 4 in the post at the end of last week with £0 cost on my subscription. There was also a note to say that they are "postponing" any further issues "due to quality problems" and will let me know when they intend to continue. They also included a reply-paid card should I want to receive issue 5 free of charge when they restart (which I sent back, saying YES).
Still no sign of a Hood delivery from Hachette

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum!
I am afraid that I have not built these issues yet, I am waiting until the series starts properly before starting.
Sometimes a little gentle sanding is required. Ensure any bumps where the ribs were joined to the fret are removed. I hope this helps, good luck!
