The way it's goin', it's me who's gonna need the rubber room. I'm not sure I can take much more of this "new" Napoleon, lol.

Hi Nemesis, Your V1 and V2 look very good. I will post a couple of shots of some card ships I have done (free downloads from the net) later. I find they are very relaxing to do and cover a huge range of subjects that plastic doesn't come near. AND if you are a bit computer literate you can customise the colours and marking to what you want. Here is the Ting Yuen Chinese battleship of 1895 built by Germas Download from: homelf.kimo.com.tw/yukiyuji/TingYuen.zip

That's looks like a nice build, pb. They certainly doo while away the hours don't they? You're right, the subjects they cover are amazing. You can pretty much find something, no matter what your interest. Thanks for the link.

For what it is worth, here are some pictures of my first paper model (made about 50 years ago!!!): She is made of old ships charts, scraps of wood, some cellophane, cotton, and cotton wool (sea). She was painted with water colour paints. The case was added years later. I made 3 of these whilst serving as a radio officer on the ship and sold two of them to the crew. She became the basis for my 45 inch R/C model seen elsewhere on this site. I have not made any more paper models since!!! (total cost to make virtually zero).

To all the superb paper modellers above, I am locked in admiration at your patience and skill in building your ships. I am green with envy and salute you.

Hear Hear Napoleon, I'd love to have a go, but I think the wife might just over the edge if I started a new project just now. It's touch and go as it is!!!

I resemble that remark, Swanrail, I'm still the most horrible, nasty, evil, wicked, big-headed, meglamaniac that I ever was, so there! ;D ;D ;D That Mark is responsible for my nice reputation by putting that entry against me name!!

Don, 50 years ago!!! you must be 75+ then if you were a young radio officer at age 20ish. Anyway, it is a superb scratch built card model and must bring back lots of good memories of your time on her.

Thanks Peter, I was actually 20 then. My first ship was as a junior at 18, then solo at 19. Good old days. Modern ships no longer need R/Os as all done via satellite.

Listen in Swanrail, no one takes my name in vain, not even that nice bloke Mark. I can be nice now and again but you may now have put me off being so for a long time. My French Imperial Guard are lining up to sort you out. ;D ;D ;D
