The DRG Baureihe 52 (Class 52) Kriegslok (war locomotive) is a class of 2-10-0 German steam locomotive built in large numbers during the Second World War. They were a wartime development of the pre-war Class 50 ÜK, designed down to use less expensive materials. From wikipedia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRG_Class_52

Looking at models, some versions were armoured, but the BR-52 name covers all versions. There were other BR series of Kriegslokomotive too.

War built, since the photos I've seen of them they don't have any armour. Seems some can have armour, Thanks to NM. Think I have 1 in N scale made by Fleischmann, will have to check.

Very interesting armour, not quite sure why it would have had it, unless it's for winter operations.
