I bought a small pot of PTFE-based shaft grease from my local ship's chandlers, cost about £7, and injected it with a small plastic syringe from my local model shop.

Hey Markus, did you use your paper sheet for positioning the hull steps ( steigeisen) yet? if not, would it be possible that you make a copy of it and post it here? This because I'm finishing my entire hull in advance. Danny i didn't use them as i don't think they're suitabe for a radio controlled model...

Markus, I will be spray painting my superstructure soon, did you Glattfix your deck prior to this for extra waterproofing?
So far I have only Glattfixed the hull.
Thanks
ERic.

Thanks ERic. don't try to glattfix the hachette deck doing so will remove the printed details, maybe the same will happen when applying clear paint with a brush i applied 4 coats of clear spray paint to make it waterproof... markus

Yes, I remember that happened to you!
No, I was refering more to the ply deck underneath the printed decking, does it need to be sealed before the printed deck gets laid on top?

it doesn't have to be sealed as it's covered by the printed deck
also PVA glue doesn't stick well on glattfixed surfaces...

And you want the deck covering itself sealed anyway.

Brass propellors, (m2 size ) 50 euro, how much more for just 3 propellor shafts to go with them and postage. I'll use western union to transfer the money.

Just doing my shopping list up for the remaining bits and bobs I need for my boat.
One question - do I need one or two Electronic speed controllers? I have the two motor set up from you.
The way I see it my list is as follows:
five Nimh cells together - 80 euros one (or two) speed controllers - 30 (60euros as applicable) scale rudders 35 euros servo with mounting set for rudders 10euro
I think i have covered everything for making the boat go foward etc (think you supplied me with the y connectors with my motors already.
