hi bob, there was another hold and fold advertised awhile ago from ireland and it was more reasonably priced, but can't remember where I saw it. Can anyone help on that one. Right, footy season officially over, for the under 9s, I'm off to the pub ;D

I purchased my pliers and file from models in motion. Think the pliers cost £14 and the file just over £4. Very good. Tamiya tools.

I can also recommend Squires Tools (100 London Road, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, PO21 1DD Tel 01243 842424, Fax 01243 842525, http://www.squirestools.com). They have a vast supply of tools, equipment and materials for the modeller (plank benders, rigging frames, electronics, glues, fillers, clamps, etc., etc.). prices are very reasonable and delivery is quick and reliable.

Might have to try and find something in Aus. The exchange rate to the pound is going the wrong way right now for us down under.

Issue 81 part number 726 - any suggestions on how to handle this one then? Far too small for tweezers, long nose pliers and even blu-tack on the end of a cocktail stick!! Every week, the brass bits seems to be getting smaller and smaller and smaller........

How about a tiny drop of PVA on the end of a pin ? The PVA should scrape off the brass once the superglue is set. Or, how about picking it up with a bit of Cellotape. Never tried either method before, and I haven't got 81 yet, but they could be worth a shot.
Alternatively, leave them off - I don't suppose any body would notice them missing !

Haven't even started the brass bits yet. Umm suppose I'll have to deal with them sometime. Hey Sky, Unless you have eyes like a hawk, I recommend you purchase one of those adjustable lights with a magnifying glass. Some of the parts are minuscule. I've finally bitten the bullet and attempted to glue some bits together. Superglue is fine if you have 3 hands, or the pieces fit into slots I've found , a dab of 2 part 5 minute epoxy easier, when I can use it, especially for all the little hatches. Last night, thought I would try my hand at a catapult. Well I chopped a couple of pieces off the fret, then put them away again. To all those out there who have constructed these, my hearty congratulations folks..........its a horror show for me !!! Baz

Hey Sky, Unless you have eyes like a hawk, I recommend you purchase one of those adjustable lights with a magnifying glass. Think I'll have to, for doing the catapult. Just hope I can manage to it, (having nerves shorting out dosen't help doing tiny fiddly things). Specially when it decides to hit my fingers. There are times when I can barely even type on the computer.

Hi Mark, Problem with leaving them out, the mag seems to suggest that at some later date( ) there will be a shelf fitted on them, as they are labelled as brackets! Might try your suggestions, cannot see any alternative.
