Maybe influenced by Noel Coward? - 'Terribly flat, Norfolk". Better 80% that 5%: NM Rofl ;D

Hi Brian, Nice job. Your pictures take a long time to load, try reducing them before uploading to photobucket. Use this program, it's simplicity itself. I use the 33% setting and it uploads in no time. bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htmmike

Hi Guys, Heres were i`m up to now on the build, had a bit of a disaster with centre superstructure so had to rebuild it new superstructure with funnel added had to modify the quarterdeck as I couldn't install the rudders due to limited space underneath forward mast, another complicated structure had to think about how to attach side sponsons as they would be easily broken when handling this is how I did it cut slots in side of superstructure to take the sponsons sponsons attached ,I reinforced them on the inside with plastistut sections so they are surprisingly sturdy this is how she looks so far :)I`m waiting for some fittings to arrive before I can proceed much further so i`ll just do some filling and sanding in preparation for painting. I will post more photos soon. ____________________ Brian

Hi Guys.here is an update on progress so far. Deck openings cut and the deck has been sealed and primed.Bilge keels and stabilizers fitted and first coat of primer below waterline Forward superstructure. Bridge section. Intakes Centre structure Hanger structure. this is the rear mast, after two attempts at making it out of plasticard I gave up so carved it out of a piece of jellutong This is how she looks at present ;D ;D I have started building the weapons, guns, missiles etc. ,and I am also installing the radio gear before I paint the hull in its final colours. I will update again shortly

Thanks NM. I`m really angry with myself for not posting the building of the weapons and doing the fittings as they really were quite interesting It was just layziness on my part ,still you learn by your mistakes and I`ll not let that happen again

What a wonderful model!
Question please: What are those curved pieces on the hanger roof concentric to the mast? I've seen them on other naval vessels and always wondered what they're for?
