Hi JC, Thanks for the offer to help. I was under the impression there won't be a difference in time, whether you buy it from the newsagent or order from Hachette. Hachette sends 4 issues per month, which is the same as one issue per week from the newsagent. Wolfie

Problem is Wolfie, that normally you get the newsagent version once per week on tinme, whereas the Hachette version you get 4 issues once a month, delayed by at least one month. With the bismarck, us weekly newsagent versions in the Uk are currently on issue 86, whereas the monthly one is somewhat behind us.(6 weeks I think??) Also with the tricky brasswork, I think it is better to do this once a week ratrher than all four issues once a month in a few days!! You pays your money and makes your choice!!!

hi swanrail you mentioned about tricky brasswork and not to get behind, i bought issue 85 today, but only built up to 49, your right, its demoralising trying to catch up. ohhh the thought of it especially when im sick a lot of the time. with cancer when you get an attack, it drains you mentally also, thats why im behind, but i will catch up. after spending a small fortune making my railway over 4 years i recently stripped it down to convert to dcc and make new design to incorporate a harbour and hornby's gasworks and coalworks, have all the gear , just a matter of starting now,but at least im under no pressure with that one. jc

with my railway i had no proper space to build, house is 4 bedrooned , but have 5 kids. got lucky though thru the local council. here in ireland if you have a terminal disease and you need more space, they built on an extra 20 foot by 14foot extension with a bedroom and bathroom, so i wont have to climb stairs, also to hold all my medical gear, with the blocks and timber left over ,the builders left it there so my brother whos a chippy built me a 14 by 8 shed, now my railway can be left out there and not take any space in house, thats the only good thing i got from being sick, worked out nice though. jc

I've had a major problem come up, (well could be major). The rear chassis has fallen apart. The metal had to be folded and flexed once to often and came apart. Now to work out how to either glue it back together or make a new part.
