those polish railings don't look bad, either compared the amount of stanchions of the different sheets: polish: 90 stanchions german straight: 124 stanchions (x3 = 372) german curved: 130 stanchions (x3 = 390) needed amount of stanchions for the entire ship: 364 (counted) so you'll need 4-5 of the polish sheets, depending on their stanchion distance: (mine have 7,5mm) 4 when stanchion distance > 7,5mm 5 when stanchion distance < 7,5mm markus

Dear Markus
I got the Polish railings from the UK supplier, as above, but was rather disappointed with them. They are perfect for shape and size but they are very thin, especially the horizontal bars, and are likely to be easily bent during use. Your railings seem to be much thicker and tougher, can you advise please? I may still have to order them from you.
Regards
Popeye

hi popeye... sorry for your 'flop' with the polish railings noticed they're made of brass, just like on our superstructure this is no good for the outside railing, especially for a radio controlled model which is moved often.. the railings i got hold of are made of white copper which is much more stable than brass. also they're not more expensive as you need only 3 sheets instead of 4 or 5 from the polish ones still have 2 sets (6 sheets) for the lower price markus

PS
Can I please have the straight railings (JC's post reminded me that there are 2 types, but having seen how yours have been excellently fitted and look, the straight ones are my preference)

Just received issues 104~107 which includes the individual stanchions. Lets just say I am glad I ordered the railings from Markus.. You would need the patience of a saint and eyes of an eagle to fit these things.
I salute anyone who is going to have a go at this.
