I've just used this for the first time. It's a cross between a thick paint and a filler. Ideal for filling in small imperfections. I've used it to fill the small gaps I had between the brass etched bulkheads and the plastic semicircular bits that go behind the secondary guns. Paint it on, let is dry, give another coat or two as necessary, and then sand smooth. It levels itself pretty well so doesn' need much sanding. I shall also use it to fill the very think lines where brass bulkheads meet. This stuff stinks to high heaven, so best used outside (unless the wife is on holiday ). Brushes clean is celulose thinners. Mr Surfacer 500 is easily available on Ebay from some of the Hong Kong based model shops. I did find one on-line shop selling it in the UK, but it was cheaper to have it posted over from Hong Kong !! The instructions are all in Japanese, but I guess they say, paint on, let dry, sand !! It needs a good stir before use. You can also get a finer grade, Mr Surfacer 1000.

Just received some of the Surfacer 500 and slapped a few coats on the prop shaft tunnels. Seems to be a good product but Mark is correct, this stuff is humming!!
Will give it a sand tonight and post some pics.
