Does anybody have any thoughts on this kit? www.arkmodel.com/b7535_e.htmIt looks good, but costs about £500 or more. a lot of dosh in one hit. As we look not to be getting a Hood partwork , I am a bit tempted.

I am interested in this model too. You have to go to here: twin-horse.com/product_info.php?products_id=135 to get the prices. It's quoted as GBP 511.00. Funny thing is though if you convert both the USD and CHY prices given (at todays rates) they both equate around £450 (GBP). As I am a registered user of their site I have emailed them asking for clarification of the basic kit price plus the accessories they list. I will post their reply when I get it. If it is appx £50 less than quoted then perhaps some people will not have to buy as many pairs of shoes for the missus.

I've been on a forum where this company gets a bit of a slagging for bad delivery and afterservice, I'll see if I can find it again and post the forum here.

Reply from Arkmodel as promised: Hi Paul: Thank yoy for your letter. Your site gives the price in USD as $741, and in CHY as 5,039. $741 at todays rate = £446, 5,039 CHY = £452, yet your site quotes the GBP price as £511. Why is this appx £50 more than the current rate of exchange? ------>Don't care the GBP.just USE CHY 5039rmb(china currency).5039=741$ So if you pay GBP,just caculate at current rate of exchange.but I need receive 5039CHY. See price list. Best regards Tina Web:www.arkmodel.com Email:sales@arkmodel.com salesarkmodel@gmail.com msn:sales-arkmodel@hotmail.com QQ:397575439 Tel:0571 8836 9006 Moblie:13758217064
So, the actual GBP price is £452 plus delivery (don't knoe the cost) plus any 'extras' you want. They have sent me a spreadsheet file giving costs of all the extras listed for this model. If you want a copy email me and I will send it to you.

the kit seems not to be as detailed as the bissy partwork, but it looks ok to me imagine hood and bismarck side by side on the pond - how cool is that ? so if i hadn't ordered the 'big bissy' i knew what to go for markus

I'm seriously considering it, but I'd have to choose between the Hood or the Lanc......no way I could afford both. I may have to take the wife out for another romantic dinner.........
