Now that is one impressive model. I would dearly like to make something of that scale but I don't have a space big enough to either build it or display it. We need to chip in and buy ourselves an aircraft hangar for a club house.
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished model. Nice find, Mark.

As you can see, it's based on the 1/250 card Bismarck from HMV: I have one ready to start, complete with the optional etched parts. Ready to start for the past few months - and still ready to start!
The other book pictured is of a 1/100 model by Kaiser: he has a similar book on the original ship. My German is minimal, but you can use to translation tool on the Links page. But it doesn't always add comprehension - soetimes you've to try to translate the English into English, but it's worth a go.

Biiiiiig indeed, would have to ban all me grandchildren, cats, dogs, wife, nemesis to ensure its safety. I have a 1:200 card HMS Hood but looks more difficult to put together than the Bismarck. Also, instructions are in Polish, zcxwhslkk!!!!!! lol.

Yeah, not sure my missus would be too happy, she's already a bit twitchy about this one, says I'm a bit obsessed. Ha!! how little she knows....I'm TOTALLY obsessed!!

Ban me?? Quite frankly, I'm crushed. You've hurt my feelings deeply. You know how sensitive us Sgt. maJors are. You mean to tell me you don't trust lil ol Nem? *gasp*
BTW, does anyone have the URL for the HMV site? I've done a search and all I can find is links to the bloody music store.

The HMV's on-line store is moduni.de - in German, French or English.
I have found them very good.
