oops didn't answer your question, Newfoundland, its politically incorrect to refer to them as newfies now, any way that is on the east coast, that big island before you hit greenland, now really sure why they called it greenland because every time I flew over it, its mostly white

Very nice indeed Gordon. I'm still sitting with all my brass ones cut out, but they're not in because I want to insert 'eyebrows' as well and would need to do them together. To do that I need to find the right diameter plastic straws. I know they're out there somewhere

"stank the place out and the missus is not best pleased..."
Well at least you had something to do together - watching the paint dry.

That's a nice and neat looking job Gordon, indeed! Talking of painting, I who live in town without an outside garden nor a garage, will be soon another challenge... as well as several wrestling rounds in prospect, looking at the missus' face... Robert

Lovely work Gordon, I'm interested to know what colour and finish (matt/semi-matt) you are using?

David,
I am using Tamiya Fine Surface Primer (light Grey) Part # 87064. Gives a very good finish but not not cheap at £4.50 for a 180ml tin...

I have had a trial fit of the decking and I have noticed a problem with variations in the width of my hull. At the bow I have 2mm+ of a gap to the edge of the hull whilst amidships I have almost no gap. I am not sure what to do here and I do recall Eric posted a similar problem but I don’t want to start adding material to the side of the ship and spoil a finish that took weeks to achieve. I am not to sure what the gap should be and no idea how they intend finishing this part but any suggestions would be appreciated.. Bow and a 2mm+ gap - could probably sand this back though You can see the gap narrowing as you head aft. Now almost no gap.
