Thank you sir. I added more pics but they haven't appeared. Checking it out now ;D
...sorted. Yes I found a lot of good advice here or the planking would not have been nearly as good. The wife wasn't too pleased when I sanded down the first layer in the kitchen lol. Every surface, wall, shelf had a layer of fine wood dust coating it. Must do the 2nd layer outside ;D

Footnote: The chinchillas do have their own nesting boxes - they actually choose to cram into one

fantastic plank work getting it on line cold work out cheaper if you can get the parts keep up the good work and good luck. TTFN Thank you. Thats one of the things that makes it worthwhile. Most people don't appreciate the work that has gone into it. The issues that I get are monthly so you get 4 issues in one packet and it was 20 euros (£15.24). With postage it came to 28.60 euros (£21.79). There are a few other online eBay shops selling the weekly issues and i'm up to issue 75 so if supply became a problem at least I have time to try and sort a subscription

Courbet (as you quote) was a WW1 cruiser - your dad's ship, or an earlier one of the same name?

Sorry: HMS Ark Royal or HMS Sheffield, for example, each could be one of a number of ships - depending on the year. Old names are given to new ships. So maybe that WWI French cruiser was also in WWII, or maybe there was a newer ship using the same name. (I don't know one way or the other!)

I did a wee search and yes I can find reference to a WW1 french flagship called Courbet and another battleship in WW2 called Courbet but I can't find anywhere in this thread where I mentioned either, hence my confusion lol ;D
