Try Action Electronics, good service, excellent products and speedy delivery. They have a website if you need it.

indeed, they offer lots of nice gadgets
don't know about prices for rc stuff in the uk but they seem a bit expensive to me..
example: price in germany is 27,95 euro (less than 20 GBP) for a 30 amps BEC speed controller
their tiny 1 amps speed controllers may be interesting for turret control, though...

this one from action electronics sounds very interesting for those who intend to go for a 2-motor-setup: NEW PRODUCTS!!
In the pipeline:
P94 –This is a multi-purpose twin-motor controller which will operate two thrusters – bow and stern – to work either in opposite directions to rotate the model or in the same direction to slew it sideways. A quick blip of the Tx rudder stick is used to select which mode the skipper wants to use. Using simple on-board DIL switches, it can also be operated as a dual-output ESC and as a combined motor mixer with two ESCs in the same case……. We reckon this last feature alone will put it firmly on the wish-list of just about any modeler building a twin-engined scale workboat. We have now had delivery of the PCBs and relays; we’re just waiting for the specially-made heat-sink tabs before we can start manufacturing. First batch should be available in early May – price will be £70 + the usual carriage charges. See one on our new demo board at Shepton Mallet – this unit makes two MFA 850’s sound really good!
this unit combines 2 esc's and a v-mixer (and the nasty wiring, too) in a single unit markus

Sound interesting, pity they don't do a triple motor version with the same setup as you.

wiring some 5amps diodes like shown below give the following result: 1. inner motor only runs when at least one of the outer motors is running forward 2. inner motor always receives 1,4 volts less than the outer motors (in case of turning it receives 1,4 volts less than motor with higher voltage) example: going straight ahead (5 cells): motor1 - 6volts / motor2 - 4,6volts / motor 3 - 6 volts turning left (100% throttle / 50% rudder): motor1 - 3volts / motor2 - 4,6volts / motor3 - 6 volts wiring 8 additional diodes (antiparallel) in front of the outer motors would result in the same voltage for all 3 motors in this case supply with 6 cells (7,2volts) is recommended. motor voltage is 5,8volts then (7,2volts - 1,4volts)

sounds like a slightly easier way to do it. How much for 1 of them and the diodes. That is if your going to have a setup that can ordered with 1 of them ?

That is if your going to have a setup that can ordered with 1 of them ? those diodes are really cheap (less than 2 euros for 4 diodes), so there's no additional costs for them if you order a drive set i can also deliver the motor bracket with the diodes completely wired.. markus

Whats the cost of the drive set with the above dual controller minus the radio, I can get that out here. Also need the props and rudders?? For 3 motor drive, sort of tempted to go for the turret drive set as well for a geared motor drive to the turrets. Turret drive set may come a later. the dual controller is available at www.action-electronics.co.uk don't know if they deliver outside the uk.. if not, maybe one of the uk members can order it and send it to australia ? drive set with diodes, brass props and rudders is 160 euro - shipping to down under included markus
