looking fine if you glue some spare planks like shown your resin part will fit much better. remember, there's a 2nd layer of planking to come...

Hello Alain, I hope Markus does n't mind me jumping in. But I think Markus is trying to say is:
Take the resin piece D off your hull. Then glue some spare bits of the planks you have used on your first layer of planking in the space underneath the resin piece. This will raise the resin piece up so you will not have the step as shown in your photo. You then stick the resin piece D on these planks.

I used some left over pieces from the first layer planks to raise resin part d.
And if I have understood you correctly, I can't remember the thickness of the second layer of planking.
