I have watched your progress with astonishment these last years Poul, and I still don't know how you've managed to do it.
Truly mindblowing.

Thanks for the kind words This morning, I finished the main deck and started on the rear and final deck. Had an early finish though, as I suddenly felt like taking the day off - and so I did Counting down: Less than 30 fittings left, plus the remaining 20mm and 40mm AA guns - and of course the railings Should be completed over the weekend, and start on the display case. After nearly three years of work, I cannot believe it will soon be over

If anything, I always use the dull side for paint to go on.
For gluing with CA or epoxy the shiny side is fine, but the dull side probably adheres a bit better.

The fitting out is nearly complete now, and my tray with parts is nearly empty. All AA guns along the railings still need to be fitted. That will happen after the railings are in place to avoid any accidental damage. Today I have completed the rear deck. The small cranes are not yet fixed, as it would make the fitting of railings very difficult. Again, on the rear deck the AA guns will be fitted after the railings are in place, and so will the ensign staff. And a complete view

Yes Mike B, talking about patriotism. Something really about the French. That Youtube clip reminds me, that Richelieu had four signs distributed around the ship: Discipline - Valeur - Honnour - Patrie

This will bring a tear to your eye and a shiver to your spine; unfortunately, somebody "digitally enhanced" it. It has been described as one of France's three national anthems - anyone know about that. It comes from a Russian song, words by a French broadcaster in London who died in the past year: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IbtHlvLXv4nm The Frenchman who wrote the words was French and admired the British: he gave the examples of his chauffeur who always stopped at red traffic lights, even in an air raid, and his secretary who apologised for being late for work one day - her house had been bombed.

Ahh Monseiur Poulw, this is , how you say.... MAGNIFICO!!!
The french would be proud I'm sure. Have you had any offers for her yet and would you sell?
Your first scratch build - shakes head - so where did you get your ideas from on how to sratch build all the minute parts?
