Hi Skyfire, Thanks for the comments, its appreciated. Its RC ,I`m going to install lights ,rotating radar and a sound module ,maybe even get the turret moving sometime in the future. I was hoping to go down to the pond tonight for a trial run but I`ve been very busy so won`t get down until Sunday . I`ll post photos of the sail on Sunday night

Look forward to that!
Where do you sail your models Brian? There are no proper sailing ponds round Oban....just Lochs and more Lochs!

Hi Eric, I sail at the glasgow richmond boating pond and I have just joined the glasgow south ship modellers society at queens park in glasgow. both have sail days through the week and also on sundays, The only problem with richmond is that they have dozens of swans in residence so it can be quite hazardous if you get into there flight path!!!!!

Some of them have got 1/72 scale ships which are a lot bigger than the Norfolk, she is only 1/96 scale. This the last 1/96 scale I am doing as I am moving up to 1/72 scale too ;D

Brian, Hope you don't mind me asking a query on an old build, how come you made what looks like 1/4" square boxing on the inside of the build? Did you have that on show through doors etc? Or is it for strength (curious as I am doing mine in plasticut and want to be sure she will be strong enough). [/IMG] forward mast, another complicated structure had to think about how to attach side sponsons as they would be easily broken when handling this is how I did it cut slots in side of superstructure to take the sponsons sponsons attached ,I reinforced them on the inside with plastistut sections so they are surprisingly sturdy ____________________ Brian
