Wow looking very nice. Don't stress too much with the bismarck planking, I'm on take 2 with it all. Are those 5 bladed propellors ??

Hi Guys Thanks for the kind commnts Yes Skyfire they are five bladed props, they came as part of the running set for the hull(they are works of art really) I`ll keep posting as work progresses. This is a modern type 23 frigate Jim,in my opinion one of the nicest looking ships in the RN ____________________ Brian

I agree about the props being works of art.

Hi guys, heres the progress so far. The deck fitted to the flight deck, this was a real pig to do as there is three different cambers along the deck rear superstructure, pretty complicated shape, measure 5 times cut once midships base, this is going to be very complicated with lots of compound angles. cracking shape to the hull one of the best looking ships in the navy as far as i`m concerned quarter deck basic structure temporarily in place, theres not much room underneath for the rudder posts forward superstructure base started, its beginning to look the part now ;D will post more photos as work progresses ;D ;D _________________ Brian

Hi guys, thanks for the kind comments :)This is a fibreglass hull and plan set from fleetscale. You can buy a fittings set but you have to build the deck and super structure from scratch. The plans I`ve got are just about the best you can buy but I`ve already found a few mistakes ,just a matter of check and check again before you cut anything out. I`m trying to get this thing ready for July as there is the National Model Warship weekend in Glasgow and i`m`trying to get it finished so I can enter it. This should be a great event ;D ;D We`ve got a lot of people coming up from all over England and Scotland .so it should be brilliant weekend and everyone is welcome. I`ll keep posting as work progresses. ______________ Brian

Disaster!!!! I made the centre section of the superstructure too small!!! I scanned the plans and took the measurements from the scan, mainly to keep the plan in good condition, but guess what?scanned the plan at 80% hence a smaller superstructure Remember me preaching about measure five times ,cut once in an earlier post I can`t even take my own advice

Maybe influenced by Noel Coward? - 'Terribly flat, Norfolk".
Better 80% that 5%:
