received the plastic propshaft supports / a-frames today they're looking really good, also they might be used with the drive sets if the outer shafts are shortened. (see nimitz thread) will try to modify them and post the results the after next weekend don't have much time this weekend, i'll do a test drive with a ford focus ST on saturday told the local ford dealer i'm interested in that car, but i didn't tell him that i cannot afford it ;D ;D ;D markus

told the local ford dealer i'm interested in that car, but i didn't tell him that i cannot afford it ;D ;D ;D I'm sure he'll find out eventually ;D Are those supports also in the stores in germany right now? ( I know that my local store stops stocking up on any partworks after issue 7 ) If so, could you please pick one up for me? Of course I'll compensate for any costs you make I think it's easier to mount these supports early on in the build than to wait until issue 113....

They look nice! What have you modified and how did you do it? Thymen i did the following: a-frames: 1. drilled a 3mm hole into the a-frames (attention, their legs break easily ) 2. glued a piece of brass tubing 3x2,1mm into them supports: 1. drilled a 3mm hole into the supports (drilled from behind) 2. removed some plastic from the inside with a dremel 3. cut a propshaft into two pieces and extended them with 3x2,1mm brass tubing extending them with 3mm tubing was necessary because a 4mm propshaft doesn't fit into the supports. 3mm brass tubing perfectly fits into a cut-off propshaft all 3mm holes were drilled with 2mm previously so their location can be corrected if necessary markus

markus my friend since im using original 2 motor set up as supplied by hachette, will i have to make any mods on supports and a frames? jc if you use the original 2 motor setup you won't have to make any mods on supports or a-frames hachette delivers 6/4mm propshafts - they won't fit into the plastic supports or a-frames markus
