Have a small model shop near me its not been open long and its run a a guy on his own really nice chap, I was having a look round at the "Airfix" style kits a BAC1-11 & HS Trident caught my eye but then some thing else made Me change my mind... DikarThermopylae A Tea Clipper that went up against the Cutty Sark, having built the Part Work Sark I was very interested in adding this to my ever expanding Navy (Royal Navy watch out!) but we all know how much these things can cost so I ventured over to look at the price... After being revived with the smelling salts I paid the grand price of £14 for it... yes you did read that right £14 somebody has started it but for some reason never finished it. All thats been done is the hull frame and deck has been done and I have to say they have done an outstanding job with the deck. Will post some photos later. At present its at the bottom of the pile, will start once I finish the Solar System which should be in March. Once complete I will stick it on the shelf along side Cutty Sark once she is repaird... Cats and model boats don't get on! All that happened was the cat was fascinated about the chains that dangle down and want to play with it damage to the cat was zero damage top Sark was only slight but very fiddly to fix, cant remember the name of the bit off hand but its the spikey bit just back from the bow.

Give me a few days and I will photocopy it for you.
How far have you got with your build?
The one I bought has been partly started, the hull has all its frames in place, deck is on one row od the hullside planking has been done.

So far have the deck complete, the hull planked, sanded, rudder mounts installed and have started above the hull planking to complete the side of the deck. (I purchased kit in 1985 and was interupted by life, only had deck and 4 planks installed when i started back about 3 weeks ago, not bad for 25 yrs of work) Thats about as far as i can go without the manual, unless i just look at the pic on the box. I will post pic's soon
