This is the model I started to build some years ago (A Xmas présent). It represents a multy purpose canot from Brittany that was very commonly used up to the beginning of the 60's. (sometimes for fishing). This model is from Artesania Latina (Spain) and the scale is 1/20 First some picts of recently build réplica seen in Brittany 4 years ago. Without the little experience I have got with it I would never dare to try the Bismarck. Hemm!! (please correct me if this sentense is not correct because I am not very familiar with English verbs and it will help a lot).

Looking superb Bruno, well done! To get some idea of size, how long is the model? Should look even better with the sail.

Hi Swanrail,
The model is 29cm long and the same from the keel to the top of the mast. (without the stand)
So, with the sail on it should be about 34cm for the upper part of the sail is far above the top of the mast

Here is the boat with its sail Next step the painting. The original colors are dark green and black, but it seems quite dull to me. I think i will try dark blue / light blue and white; a little bit like my avatar. These are rather the colours of south brittany (The sunny side of life...) What is the wind like tonight?
