Hi guys,
As i am in the process of getting rid of some credit card debt, accumulated over the last 2 years, i have swapped my barclaycard balance onto a Virgin 0% interest transfer over 16 months.
I have managed to get all of my barclaycard payments changed to either Direct debit from the bank, or stopped buying whatever things i really didn't need.
However my bismark payments come off of the credit card, as when i took the subscription out, it seemed the only way i could pay was to use a credit card.
However i want to change the monthly payment to my bank account on direct debit, is this possible?
has anyone tried to contact Hatchette from their contact number, are they any good, and can i actually pay via bank rather than credit card.
Basically i am getting rid of my debt as fast as possible as i am looking to buy a new car in the summer, and don't want the crutch of debt holding me back before going into any further finance.
I was just brought up to always settle bills before taking more out!

Dear rick
I have contacted Hatchette regularly over the last year or 2 on the number given on their main billing sheet (e.g. ordering extra issues, when I did something wrong or wanted to experiment (like fixing elevating gun barrels on the main gun turrets), asking about the (very) occasional late issue, making a "manual" payment when my account went over the limit, etc.). They always answered within a reasonable time and the person who answered was always able to deal with my issue/problem and every issue/problem has been most satisfactorily resolved. Based on my experience, I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone (so far - but I still have 40 issues to go !).

Gave them a phone, got an easil;y understandable voice on a clear line, which was surprising, no idea if the lady was in Britain or not (nor do i care) but it was nice, as i hate doing financial changes when you are speaking to someone you can only just understand.
Asked to change, gave my sort code and account number, and they said my payments would now be taken out of my bank rather than my c.card.
Fingers crossed, i will see what happens when the payment comes out!
