Dear Susan
A belated best wishes for you and John (sorry its late but we submariners always shadow the fleet and fire at the last minute when no one is expecting us !!). Tell John that I am expecting him to complete the Nimitz as I like large targets, its means that none of the torpedoes are wasted !
All the best
Popeye and Olive Oyl (Jack and Elaine)

There was an announcement a couple of years ago that HMV (Hamburg-based card model publisher) were to release a 1:250 card model of the USS Nimitz in 2008.
However, that didn't happen (the designer is busy with other things) and there's no news of it in their recent forecasts.

hello to all of john's friends his card arrived today from you and it was truly fantastic, it raised his spirits a lot. im keeping check on some sites for him as he wants to keep up on things. well the good news is that he is coming home on monday, the surgeons had to fit him up with a feeding devise called TPN, basically a tube is put into his main arterial vein in his chest, every day for 10 hours a special liquid made up of all special nutrients are fed in to his body in order to give his body the nutrients he needs, energy , calcium, iron etc. its only in temporarily until his body gets back in order. click tpn on google and you will understand it better. he will be back on line himself on monday and he cant wait. susan
