For those who aren't aware:
Harold passed away on the 14th march after a short illness.
Those of us here who built the Red Baron triplane might remember him. He activly took part of the internet build through my MSN site for the build and helped run the site. I think that most of us who build that partwork will say that Harolds' Triplane was of a fantastic build standard and his ideas and inspiration through the website helped to overcome some problems with that partwork.
I do know that he had to give up building models after that as he had trouble with his fingers. Myself and a couple of others kept in touch with him with news of what we were building with emails, photos and phone calls and even then he was able to come up with ideas and solutions to problems.
He leaves a wife, daughter and a lot of dogs! (I think)
I'm sure that the online partwork and modelling community will miss him very much
James

Thanks for letting us know James. I had some contact with Harold while the Fokker Triplane series was running. He was a very nice gentleman and is a sad loss to the Partwork modelling community. His triplane was built to an excellent standard. There are some photos on my triplane site that he sent me some time ago. www.wakelin.org/redbaron/others.htm#harold
