Well after collecting 113 issues of the Bismarck and countless other partworks over the last 7 to 8 years, my local papershop has gone bust. About 2 months ago they wanted all partwork collectors to pay for the issues 2 weeks in advance. So I obliged and paid the 'deposit', I've now lost what money I paid up front. I ain't happy with the shop owners.
I know that I can get hold of the rest of my partworks via subscription, so I'm not worried about finishing the build.
Whats in the back of my mind though, is how safe are the partwork companies. With more and more people losing their jobs, less people will be buying partworks, as they may not be able to afford to eat and buy magazines.
I hate the recession.

Valid point, I am hopefull that this part works publishers has enough liquid cash to carry on this build to the end.

That would depend on us really, as long as the punters keep buying the issues and not stop building, then Hachette and all the other ones will be able to keep going.
The way I always look at it is; at £4.99 a week I am spending less on my Bismarck than a average smoker would on fags in a day, so I can fully justify and continue the expense. I just don't look at the total bill too often!!!!!
