PA474 of the BBMF at the Southend Airshow back in May, yes it was sunny! had over 18 miles visibility!

i started buying the lancaster today, well my mother as a present , to cheer me up is buying the complete series for me. it looks a brill model, so who's going setting up a forum here for her? i presume a lot of us will be getting her. jc

One mod that might be possible is to build the aircraft so that it can still be broken down to the major sub-assemblies (e.g. the outer wings, nose section . . .)
No idea if it's possible or worthwhile.

Im also toying with the idea of building this one but as i have nearly 100 issues of bissy to put together dont think the missus would aprove really must get back to the dock yard sadly bissy no nearer compleation than it was a year ok.

Brilliant photo Nick Cheers could have zoomed in on just the Lanc but I thiought get the Thames Barges in as well make it look more intresting and you get to see the height of the aircraft. Thinking about a bit of photoshopping, take out all the moden boats, power lines make it black and white add a bit of grain to the photo to make it look a "genuine" wartime photo
