Welcome to the forum johannes Looks like you may have used the wrong piece of wood, 1 piece is thicker than the other, (use the thicker piece as a guide to sanding). You should have a thinner part to go where you have the the thick one. Hope this helps. Btw it's far better if you place your photos on Photobucket, (it's free) and place a link to the fullsize photo on here. Once you have a photo up on photobucket, look for the bit of next to where is say "Img Code" and copy that to your post here, that will then show the photo in your post. We only have 100 meg total space for uploading files to the forum.

Did you glue the two similar shaped ply parts together ? You should only use one. The other is used to mark the size of the anchor pockets (as Skyfire mentions above) and is then discarded.

Thanks all. Think the part i received was incorrect thickness..... however on hols ... will measure the thickness of the template part when back home. Bottem line is... have some deck sanding to do. Regards Johannes

from the picture it looks like its too thick , ie youve used both parts of the wood,easily remedied,take it off carefully and make a new one from a scrap piece of wood half the thickness,i had a problem with that i wasnt happy till i fixed it lol
