I received the motor boat, but the brass parts mentioned on page 218 is more. There are hand rails on the roof (holes in the roof that's not mentioned in the issue) as well as hand rails (looking at issue 110) for the bow part of the boat.
Is this now a newer version and must this hand rails be attached to the roof and bow part or not? If so, how must I space the rails on the bow part, maybe the same as the larger motor boats in issue 110?

Coenie, I've just finished the boats. As far as I know, the smaller boat doesn't get deck rails, only the 2 larger ones which are shown fitted in issue 117 although I fitted them before spraying the deck. I sprayed the tops of all the boats after fitting all the railings. I fitted the cabin tops and their associated railings after and hand painted them.

Thanks mike, but did you also receive the deck rails with your issue? I note that you fitted the rails on the cabin top of the small motor boat, which is also not mentioned in the issue.
Nice paint job anyway. How did you manage the little stripes on the life belts?

Thanks mike, but did you also receive the deck rails with your issue? Yes but didn't use them. I have the impression that Hachette sometimes supply spares but don't tell us that fact! How did you manage the little stripes on the life belts? I first painted the rings by hand. I then cut a 1mm strip of paper and coloured it with a felt tip pen. I then cut it into 4 pieces, approx 5mm long. These were then centrally tacked on the top face of the brass rings, 90ยบ apart. They were then folded over the ring, cut to length and glued on the underside. I applied a drop of CA glue to the four red bands underneath and placed the lifebelt centrally on the cabin roof.

Well then I'll just ignore the rails.
Grand job on the life belts. I unfortunately already attached mine to the roof. Maybe I'll try my luck with a free hand on the stripes.

The actual answer arrived now with issue 117 page 235 step 15.
I used the rails in issue 109 rather than those in 117 as the removal of the nibs in the latter is tricky.
