Right seeing as its my birthday next week I have treated meself. Yep it's the Tamiya Spitfire. Now to the juicy bits..opening the box, packed to the top with plastic bits. Quite a lot of plastic bits... And a cardboard package: Filled with more plastic bits and etched parts, magnets and a screw driver. A multitude of instructions/pamplets. And seventy one step in struction booklet; And the ulitmate drool picture:

OK I give up. I can guess what the screwdriver is for, but why the magnets? Undercarriage?
nm
And really, why a screwdriver with a plastic kit?

The magnets are for attaching the nose cowel/panels so you can remove them for display.

Woo! That kit's looking good! Give us your feeling about it, Chill. This Mk.IXc may well end up in my "to be purchased" list as the Mosquito got a definitively "Rejected" stamp on my request form from the Home Wing Commander!

It feels plasitc?! No seriously, it's a bit smaller than I thought it would be. The engine has about four pages to it! Highly detailed. So it wil be a fantastic model when its done. Now on the hunt for some more professional tools to build it with and proper glue.
