Hi Eric, you,re in a nice part of the country,I worked on Iona 20 years ago,and got the ferry to Graignure, every 2 weeks, but now and again,if i missed the ferry, i,d have to stay overnight, and stayed in a ..sort of B&B in Airds Lane???,it was behind Mctavishes Kitchen,if my ailing memory serves me well, and it was only £6 per night, Artur

Welcome Artur, there is a thread on this forum where the old hands on the forum describe how to post pics.
Go to the thread "testing, testing..... is this thing switched on" and then to "Try to figure out uploading" and follow Skyfire's directions.

Did you miss a zero there, by any chance??? Breakfast is more than £6 these days!!!!! McTavishes Kitchens is no more, alas.....no more fiddle and bagpipe music warbling out of the windows....

For listening to bagpipes, it is very very important where you are sitting......as a rule of thumb, the further away the better......

Hi Eric,...no mistake £6 for a bed,if you wanted a cooked breakfast it was £8,otherwise you got coffee, cornflakes and buttered toast for the £6 and the baths in the place were the biggest i,ve ever sat in,and there was always tons of boiling water,It was more like a Truckers rest stop, the guy who ran the place also owned Mctavishes,We were converting crofts on Iona into holiday lets,..20 years ago this week in fact, ,,Iona,s was full of weird people 20 years ago,but the couple we worked for Bobby & Lotte, she was from Hamburg, he was from Mull, they were ace,and the money was brill, but the weather was something else,
