I remember reading a thread on glazing the windows in the admirals bridge with wood glue, can anyone else remind me where to find that thread,
Robert

Hi Robert, I too have "lost" that thread, but it said to use PVA woodglue to make the glazing. I was a bit doubtful myself, but have tried it on one of the boats and it worked perfectly! I smeared the PVA (my bottle says Universal PVA Bond, multi purpose adhesive sealant and admixture) over the window (1 at a time in my case) and let dry, turned from a milky colour to clear when set! Do not know how strong the window is, perhaps not suitable where there is any vibration? The original poster deserves a k if only I could remember where he is!!

hi robert, the crystal clear is designed for windows.you put a glog on a toothpic, and run it along the inside edges of your windows, then accross the centre, and it fills very well, stays in place, and dries crystal clear.this method also eliminates shiney smears around the outside edges of the windows.the product is slightley thicker than white glue ect,and wont sag.
cheers Tanus

Its just for some small portholes of doors on a tug conversion I'm doing. I'll try the Evostick woodglue (Blue bottle) first as I don't fancy driving to the model shop this weekend. Still getting over some CHAV type and his pitbull having a go at me on the beacvh this morning. I imagine he's right proud of himself for all the yelling and swearing he did over dogs wanting to socialise. Perhaps had his parents socialized him properly this would not have happen. Guess I'll stick to the more secluded beach, shame.
Rant over.

...at the end of the day, I think I'll avoid walking on that beach while all the holiday makers are about....got a rather secluded one not far and the 100 steps down to it tend to deter the grockels.

Micro crystal clear is the stuff for sure. Use a tooth pick on small windows or a kebab stick for the large ones. I have never had it fall out and you can make it very thin and it still stays put.
Will take a few shots of the 1/350 Varyag I am building and post them here as I have done all the windows etc with crystal clear.
