Ordered the hull and plans from Sirmarmodels this morning and should be here within seven days. I've already found a problem i'm going to have.Would anyone know how i would make a Wasp helicopter to go with said model,i see they have a Wasp fuselage but no rotors, engines or under carriage. I am hoping not to be too much of a pain.

What scale is the kit could you get away with loking around for a plastic kit Wasp or was the Wasp is a rare kit get a Westland Scout leave the skids off and replace them with a shopping trolly undercarrage, its known as shopping trolly as when on the deck of a carrier all the wheels sit at diffrent angles so the chopper dose not slide about the deck, a button on the control stick releases them so that it can taxi.
If you look at a Navy Lynx it has the same wonky main wheels whilst thae Army stick with skids.

apparently Andromeda after refit also flew off the Lynx. always another option. Andromeda was sold to the Indian navy in 1995. she was renamed INS Krishna.

The model i'm doing is getting an F12 pennant number slapped on it and called Achilles(they are both broadbeam Leanders). Thanks for Wasp pics anyway Jim they,ll come in handy when i do the 1:72 model! Onwards and upwards as they say.

Very nice. And only a year to build. I been building HMS cornwall from sirmar since 1993, although it's sat on a shelf for over 5 years now.
