I think that the part numbers in section 6 - nos. 474 & 478 are the wrong way round... or labelled wrongly.
Can someone confirm this - or is it me???

As 474 and 478 are identical, it does not matter, in each case, they have extension pieces fitted, 474 has 475 to complete the metal base, and 478 has 477 added to it to complete it metal base. Had no problems fitting mine. Note that 475 is longer than 477 to allow for the extra length of this brass plate.

Hi rwclancer, when you curve the rails 402 and 406 round the plastic former they overlap, but when you put them onto the towers proper, they SHOULD be correctly sized.
What I ended up doing was to glue the ends of them together so they kept their shape, then pushed them onto the towers from the bottom up to the correct positon at the lip, they fitted perfectly, and were Superglued into place with a touch on the underside of the lip.

OK, I really have no life, I was watching Model Mania this morning on Discovery and he was doing a locomotive from etched brass. Really cool rolling tip. Metal bar, same diameter to shape piece for boiler rolled out on rubber cutting mat or such, perfect cylindrical piece in about 5 seconds, piece of cake!

Thank you Eric, I will do that. Another quick one. Should part 494 sit flat on the deck or is there a gap, as in mine, under it. I can not tell from the instructions.
Thanks Robert
