Looking good there Chris. It looks like you have started painting the brass work there.

I'm so envious of you buggers, we are stuck on like issue 64 or something down here... Almost worth contemplating moving to the Ole Blighty so I can finish her early. ha... With the talk of Laser pointers to do the Cammo I am still having probs visualising how its going to project across the different levels, won't it be blocked out by the first step?? Yep, I'm a dumb ass aussie, lol....

Yep, I'm a dumb ass aussie, lol.... don't use actual laserpointers, they only project a small dot and they will indeed get blocked by the steps. not to mention it would be very hard to keep it perfectly positioned. In the DIY store you can get some special equipment ( don't know the english name and babelfish claims it's laser spirit level which probably is incorrect) with which you can project in a line instead of a dot. here's a picture of what I mean: farm1.static.flickr.com/60/153462768_d9916f22b1_m.jpgif you put this at a distance of about 30 cm from the ship it wont get blocked by anything, and you can also put one side on some books and tape it down so it sits under the right angle.

I bought such a laser for £4.99 from a Texaco promotion last Xmas: It projects either a solid or a dotted line at any angle and should do the job. However, myself, I do not intend to camouflage the model, aiming for the appearance just before she went into battle, ie plain hull, etc. This picture shows a projected line:
