Ok folks, here's a question for you. What do you call Tiny ? In relation to model making of course. Is it something that is, say a couple of inches long. A bit smaller, say less than an inch. Maybe something that needs tweezers to handle, say less than 1/8". Or maybe it's something you need a microscope to see.
I was showing my brother a small model of a water wheel, which is on a base about 2 x 3", and he said, gosh that's tiny. To me it was just a bit on the small side.
Somebody I know designs card models that he calls Tiny. These are sort of 2 or 3 inches. I took the designs and reduces them by half to make what I called tiny.
It's all very subjective, but what do you call tiny.
For me, it's something which has lots of parts that you have to handle with tweezers. I.e. One sneeze and they're lost in the carpet (never to be seen again). The little Fokker I'm building is small, but not what I would call tiny.
I'll try and fish out some photos later.
So folks, what is tiny to you ?

Not really sure what I would call tiny, but think 1" or smaller would probaly be it.

For me, tiny is when you are measuring in mm. If something is at least 1cm it can be handled but if is less than that you would have to use a tweezers because its TINY.

Yes, that sounds right.....if you can pick it up and work it with your fingers, it is small......but if you need tweezers it is tiny.

How the heck does he do it? Just to hold the piece being worked on is a feat of engineering in itself, much less the tools he must use. His Bismarck would be a sight worth seeing, as it would be possible to make everything work, guns, porthole covers, doors, etc. (even live ammo!!!, so anyone coming to a Bismarck rally with a model of the Hood better watch out!))

That is incredible! He'd obviously make a great brain surgeon with coordination like that.
