As I want to make my Bismarck RC I am now thinking about the motor lay-out, should I put two or three motors inside? As you know I'm currently working on a Revell 1:350 Bismarck converted to RC and for this one I use two motors. On a Dutch forum however some people said a three motor set-up will give the Bismarck a better (more accurate) view while sailing the model. This because with three props you can use smaller props than with two I guess. Is this also an issue with "our" Bismarck? In others words, can I build my Bismarck using scale props and rudders and have a nice sailing model with just two motors or do I really need that third motor?

3 motors aren't essential for our bismarck - she's fast enough with 2 motors, even if scale props are used
3 motors have some advantages, though:
1. a driven prop is much more authentic than a 'dummy' prop 2. less 'speed loss' when fully turning (if v-miver is used)
