I've been wondering why they have not supplied decking for the forward upper deck.
So I looked very closely at the pull-out supplied with issue 1 and can just make out that there seems to be NO decking there at all!
I have scoured all the real photos I can, and only found one pic to back this up. It is in 'History and Destiny' on page 225, and seems to shown metal decks around the forward hanger painted dark gray.
Has any one else got any info on this?

Hi Eric, if you are referring to the deck just forward of the catapault, this is steel, painted a dark grey. There are pictures clearly showing this on the ship, as well as Peter Benheims model and also the dockyard model. Also of note is that there is a ramp going down from the catapault to the hangers on each side, aft is wooden decked (and supplied as such by Hachette) and the forward one is painted steel. As usual. Hachette are keeping us in suspension so we cannot complete each section! I shudder to think what issue 140 will bring......................................

Yes, just been on Peters site, and it shows this very well. Gods, that is a great model.
So we have no idea as to whether or not hachette will be puting on some extra layer there and building up to he ramp.....or not!
Patient......must be patient......
