Thanks Mike. Using wire obviously seems to be the way to go. I am building a miniature copy of my Danmark Danmark is a beautiful white, three-masted, and full-rigged training ship. I have seen it many times and been aboard it on an open day during my youth in Copenhagen. Do you already have a larger model of it? (Picture please )

Hi Poul, so as not to hijack this thread, I have posted pictures in the "Other models" section.

Hi AFK, It should be OK as it's a water based acrylic. They are OK on most other paints. Test a small spot first, expecially if you're going to put it on any of the printed deck. Markus mentioned that he had a varnish react with the printing on his deck. Are you planking the whole of the decking by hand ?

Hi Mark,
Yeah I'll test it out on a spare bit of brasswork to see if its going to be ok, should be as its the same maker as the paints I am using to paint the brasswork with.
And I am doing all of the decking by hand and I have found an awesome varnish for the decking that is clear and matt so it doesn't leave a glossy finish on the decks at all which is great.
