My piece of deck at the bow wich goes above the resin anchor wells sits a bit prouder then the rest of the deck, is this meant to happen? I have tried to look at pics of builds but have not been able to come up with a conclusion. Thought it best to ask before sanding away furiously, maybe its higher to accomodate future decking??? thanks Steve

if I'm right the wooden deck stops at this point, forward of this point the deck was steel to allow for the obvious damage the anchor chains and steel tying up lines would do to wood. ergo the small step should disappear when the wooden deck is fitted.

Think it was the template piece I had sitting there, but as they are both the same thickness, I will need to do some sanding.

that piece of timber is meant to be dead level with deck, but short of front of bow by about 15 or so mm's , steel mounting is going on to the front from what i can figure out. jc

Bloody hell, well why in the world did ours end up so high then?? Thanx for the input guys, guess nothing has to be done right at this moment, was just curious if it was meant to be like that or not...

The resin bow section and the piece behind it are at the same level, (the wooden part sits flat on top of both parts). Portholes are going on now and with some careful sanding and raising of the deck, all will be fine.

No JC, my resin bit looks sweet and is all flush with the bottom of the keel and planking, i didn't even whack on too much araldite under the timber to raise it all that much... but its no great drama I guess, just a little sanding... thanks.. Steve
