My last upgrade has been focusing on the triangular supports for the masts and "siegeswimpel/antenne" (hanging in the middle) where victory pennants were fastened to the pole. They required to be done three times until I find they were good to be fitted. The whole things are mostly made out of an 1mm evergreen styrene rod, leveled where ends meet with some Mr. Surfacer 1000 followed by a smooth sanding and some pieces found in my box of odds and ends. Here is the finished work. Cheers

It wasn't that difficult, Eric. It just requires patience and a comprehensive and supporting missus. And for what I can see of the way you build your Bissy, I don't know about your missus but you have total constancy and meticulousness! As I always say it: "If I can make it, you can make it." But I'll never compete with what Poul accomplishes, that's for sure. He makes me feel like playing with a sand bucket and a shovel. ;D

I have been following your mods on this model, and I am simply speechless at what you have achieved. Absolutely wonderful work you have done so far. When the day comes that you take up scratch building, I may use my matchstick to burn my model in shame

Thanks Poul and Mike, It's giving me too many skills that I do honestly not have Poul. I can swear, I'll never take up scratch building in my life ever, should it had to have as many as 20 parts to be created! So you may keep your matchstick as a scale reference, my friend. Le Richelieu will never go into ashes because of me! ;D Back to my bucket and shovel ( ), got the section finished. I managed to "squeeze" the two helmet racks behind the flare box and added some rivets here and there. They're so nice looking that I can't refrain myself putting them everywhere. Thanks a million Mark for tracking the s-boot in MMI. Found anything of interest for you in their last issue? Cheers. And keep astonishing us as usual, Poul!

Came to assemble the ammo storage lockers for the 2 cm MG38 ‘Zwilling’ or twin mount cannon, fitted amidships. And once again, our Italian company surprised me by making another "slight" mistake... This time, it concerned a confusion of kinds. Well, it's true actually these latter were laying flat nearby the guns on all models prior to the S-100 Class. BUT - but, as the pics below show it, it's clear that here, our 'Lang' and 'Ha-Jü' had theirs, er... well, standing.... up. Also, other pics from ships belonging to the same class tend to prove this became a standard issue afterwards. The good news is that at least their sizes are right. Just had to cut bits of styrene strips in triangles with a razorblade to set the boxes square. Being in a standing up position, the boxes required two little extras underneath to get them plumbed. These two ships had several points that differed one from each other. As regards the ammo lockers for example, the views on starboard show that two of them are holding one next to the other on 'Ha-Jü', whereas it seems to indicate there is only one box on 'Lang'. On the port side, thanks to the help of a magnifying glass, when looking at the left photo on page 28 of the Squadron book, it shows a third ammo locker standing up as well as a fourth laying down, located further back next to the larger ammo locker for the 3.7 cm Flak M42 cannon on the aft deck. In conclusion, 'Lang' appears to have only two boxes while 'Ha-Jü' adds up four. 'Lang' was put on duty call on August 19th, 1944 and for the latter nine days later. Both built in the same shipyard... at the time Allieds had taken over air supremacy, I would tend to be thinking Germans had to tell to themselves: "We need ammo, more ammo!" Then, why four here and two there? Got no clue here. I'm in total darkness... Had to remove the raised detail of the locks on the door and to replace them with handles. The hinges are not right and the 'L' shaped raised details on the deck will have to be sanded off. And to be done with this section, here's how to create the ammo storage lockers for 'Lang'. Has anybody seen where my rivets gone?

Heard the first of the BBC Radio 4 programmes on MI 6. It mentioned bringing agents into the Soviet Union by sea in the Baltic - I think that was a job for your schnellboots. One advantage - they were not British or American, they used some of the original crews and had great deniability.

Had made a blunder with the ammo storage lockers of mine for the MG C/38. It has been repaired and that's how they should be looking. (As if it wasn't enough for me to repair those made by Italeri!) ;D And in the event, here's their elder sister for the Flak M42 with shelf, ready to receive its load of clips. I've noticed this latter is placed in the center of the bridge and not on the left-hand side as indicated by Italeri for Ha-Jü. As for Lang, its exact location isn't still very clear...
