Hi!!! Hey guys how are you all doing, thought I would send another wave your way and say I am still going to be doing my bissy just that life has gotten in the way and I now have around 20 odd issues to get through now I was also wondering if the colour of your wood parts has changed? I opened issues 97 and 99 today and saw that the wood is now a really dark brown, is yours now that colour?

Ditto, nice to see that you are about again, having lost a lot of our original gang, I thought perhaps that you had gone as well! You are not the only one well behind in the build. A lot of us, including me, seems to have lost interest temporarily due to the Hachette system of never actually completing any section of the model, such that we have lots of bits in boxes and hope that eventually we can remember to what they belong!!! (Hachette logo -"put to one side, it will be fixed later").

have to agree with swanrail , im finding it impossable to work on bissy at the moment for the same reasons, bits in boxes everywhere, having said that im putting in r/c today, spraying hull next week, then leave it alone for a bit until i can get back to it , im working on nimitz this week , and get back to my baby after that. new thread on nimitz next few days, hope it goes well, because colour instructions are so bad im building ship without instructions, just looking at them when i need to. jc

Hey everyone glad your all ok. Yea I havn't been around for the last 3 odd months as I am still trying to sort out my new flat, who new I had so much stuff to sort!!!!
But I am now getting near the end of the sorting and will be setting up my modelling table and stuff hopefully by the end of February.
Its nice to know I am not the only one well behind in their build lol. Although I still have all the deck planking to do plus these extra issues!!! I have actually quite missed doing my bissy and am eager to get back to it.

hi afkmatrix think your behind im built up to 45 or so and have just bought issue 96 in the shop. now thats behind, a record on this forum i'd say? good luck with your flat, hope all goes well, and good to have you back afkmatrix jc good site markus, plenty of detail in those pics on site, nice one , thanks, will enlarge pics and print. cant wait for paint, will start new thread on nimitz then once the hull and flat top are sprayed and all decals put on. 0ne question, the part of flat top that has to stay open, i was thinking of using magnets to hold it in place, what you think? jc

welcome back Afk, seems alot of us have taken sometime off, I found it helpful. Besides the new job has been kind of hectic, makes the weeks go by quick, but the nights are ZZzzz. Anyway, I as well have 20 issues sitting in the pending file, but I don't want to rush this build as it is a big expense to rush and make mistakes on.

Hi Iv'e just caught up issues 62-97. I did it on purpous as like everyone else was sick of waiting for bits. Now it's all put away again for another few months. Oh well time to get on with other models. Alan.
