A double whammy - I hope you manage to get both sorted out very soon Tigerace.
I think the blast bags should be an off white colour.

Looks good - better than I can manage with a brush. Shame about the paint creeping under the masking tape tho.

...what masking tape are you using Tiger, Tamiya is the best against creeping and as an added precaution you can spray some of your grey first on the tape, let that dry and them do your red, two forms of protection against creeping in one.

Hi Tiger',
Don't worry about the first area you've painted. I painted the whole hull red when I started the painting.
It is the next area up (the waterline) where you have to be careful with bleeding. With a black waterline, I then painted the rest of the hull black, up from the red bottom. Then the grey, and so on.
I started of using 3M low tag masking tape (the blue one), but in the end I found that Tamiya masking tape, although a lot more expensive, was worth the money, as it leaks absolutely no paint, providing you run your nail along the edge before you start painting.
As an extra precaution, before you have a go at the waterline paint, you can then start of with a thin coat of red along the edge of the tape and let it dry. This will completely seal the edge of the tape for any bleeding.
