Hi all,
A small introduction,
Let me start by saying where I'm from (IMO always handy to know
), I'm from the Netherlands.. too lol
I've started fine scale modeling when i was 8 years old, I think like most of us with Air-fix airplanes. At a later age i moved on to Tamiya 1/35 ground vehicles and miniatures mostly German WWII. And then on to conversions with resin kits and photo-etched parts.
When i was 25ish i got sort of tired building the same Panzer 3 and its variants (other vehicles too of course
), and moved on to painting Warhammer 40k miniatures as me and a few friends wanted to duke it out on the battlefields.
In 19 2000 due to a very busy work schedule and becoming a father i shelved everything until about 6 months back when the Bismarck commercials started to show up on TV, i signed up and started receiving parts 2 to 25.. still no #1.
4 Months and 20 phone calls later number 1 arrived last Friday, started the build until i arrived at #11 (planking) not sure what and how i should proceed i started searching the .com I ended up here went through build diaries ( excellent work BTW!!).
I just placed 14 planks in mid section of the ship and a sore thumb from the needles holding them in place, I'm also taking photo's of these stages so you can see what nooby mistakes i made/make. But that later
