hi skyfire what scale are you using? im using ho/oo for my new layout, im only at the design stage but i have all the track, points, motors, etc for the model, no name for it either . i just dismanteld old model which i learned all my mistakes on. its going to be farely big, im building in my back bedroom in a u shape. left side is 15foot x 5 ft , back wall 16 ft x 5 ft and right side 12 ft x 5 ft, so a lot of designing to do. im modelling mine in modern era, with heavy thought going on industrial, coal mine and gas works, i also have hornby's 4 ft bridge to fit in plus im also making a docks area where i'll have the container trains going down to the container ships. a lot of work ahead of me, but cant wait. jc

The layout is in OO/Ho scale. I also have On30 and N scale, but no layouts for them to run on yet. New layout sounds nice jcmanu, wish I had that much room for mine. My layout is 4 feet wide by 9 feet long and is rural / small village at one end and industrial at the other, with the basic locomotive servicing area at the industrial end. More in my model railway build diary.

hiya skywire once i start my build shortly , i'll start a thread on it, having all the gear is great, its now just making a start, building the baseboards is the part i hate the most. looks like we are the only 2 doing the trains. i got issue 1 of the new sloar build today , it looks outstanding and cant wait to start it, newsagent says it runs weekly for 1 year, but i cant see it lasting that long, hve you seen it going ? are you buying it? jc
