Hello all. My name is Gordon and my first venture into modelling was a balsa aero model but I managed to get my fingers into the propeller whilst it was doing about 10,000rpm. I can strongly recommend you don’t try this at home as it resulted in a visit to the hospital and 6 stitches. It finally reached its deserved end by burying itself into a potato field at 60mph.
Due to this painful and expensive experience, I have decided to try my hand (no pun intended) at the, hopefully, less dangerous hobby of model ships.
I subscribed last month with DD from Hachette and so far have received up to issue 6. No problems to date and I still have 7 good fingers left...!

Ouch hope your remaining fingers are itching to get on with the build. Welcome to the thread.

hi gordon! i hope your fingers are soon ok again - you'll surely need them all for mounting all these small parts of the superstructure.. i gave up flying model planes too - my last plane (a kyosho learjet with over 5 feet wingspan) also hit the ground in vertical direction yes, modelships are cheaper - if you can swim ;D ;D ;D
