DeAg have a new build your own N-Gauge model railway out. modelrailways.deagostini.co.uk/Looks very nice and it is very tempting but a lack of space will sadly prevent me from taking the plunge.

I'll do it, if it comes down under, already have a board it can go on and some N scale track. I also have a few locos and rollingstock doing nothing, so this will give me an incentive, can also use the ideas on my HO layout as well.

well, i had a good look at it , and its just brill, i got on to my newsagent today to order it for me. being a railway fanatic i cant resist it, im just starting a ho/oo railway covering nearly 100 sq feet, i have a load of gear from my old model, so its just a matter of patience. the n-gauge railway is 3.5ft x 2 ft , but i'll extend that a bit as it goes on. all i want to know is when is it starting? jc

I'm already planning extensions, as I have a coal mine and a turntable to fit in as well.

hello my good friend sky-fire and other loco heads i got on to deagostini only 1 hour ago about the n-guage railway. my local newsagent , which is the biggest in Ireland with over a 150 outlets, told me yesterday that they cant get the railway off their suppliers in the UK. thats why i phoned deagostini , this is what they told me. my friends. the magazine went on sale last week in only certain areas of the UK, only a certain amount of newsagents are being given issues. the only way people in Ireland and the other areas of the UK can get it is by subscribing to it and having agostini posting it out to you. after a short while they hope to have it on sale in all newsagents in the UK and Ireland . so i subscribed this morning, its to good a part work to let go, I'd never forgive myself sky fire. for my friend all the way around the world in Aussie land, the phone operator told me to give you their Aussie web address to find out how to get it every week. the address i got was WWW.DEAGOSTINI.COM.AU so give it a try sky (lol) let me know how you got on. this is seriously to good a part work to miss out on. only loco heads like ourselves understand why, isn't that right my friend. best regards all jc

Ah, that sounds like a test release, which also explains why it isn't mentioned on their main web site. Finger's corssed for the loco heads that they do a national release.

i started my subscription, so im just wondering how long i'll be waiting for 1st 4 issues, god help me. jc by the way skyfire , the lady i was talking to about the issues going to aussie land and she said the only way is for you to find someone in the uk to subscribe to it and then send issues on to you , or else find someone in the uk who lives in an area , where you can buy them in the shops, and then post them on to you. jc

Interesting, will wait a few month yet as it might still come down under.

It seems that this test has been suspended according to a note on their forum.
Christmas is a good time to see 'proper releases'
